Filming

The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) offers ideal filming locations.

Film and television production companies (Buena Vista Television, HBO, Miramax, Warner Bros.) have discovered the convenience and versatility of filming at the CCPA with its stylish, sophisticated interior and exterior filming locations, as well as an experienced and professional staff. 

The CCPA is located in Los Angeles County, on the border of Orange County, and is within the 30-mile studio zone.

Exterior Locations

The Los Angeles Times describes the CCPA’s design as “playful yet crisply detailed architecture.” The exterior features a series of pavilions with glass towers, creamy white stucco, bands of polished red granite, and French limestone accents. Colorfully patterned ceramic tiles cascade from the rooftops. The CCPA’s dual entrances feature a fountain courtyard and garden courtyard.

Interior Locations

The CCPA’s Grand Lobby has the appearance of an open-air piazza brought indoors. High windows on two sides fill the lobby with light, illuminating the sweeping spiral staircase, designer fireplace, and luxurious bar. 

The Sierra Room ballroom features a technologically advanced grid of tracks and moveable partitions, which divides the 5,100-square-foot space into as many as five individual rooms. A hidden retractable seating unit can be opened into part of the room, creating the Sierra Room Theater. Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art sound system, lighting, and a dance floor. 

The CCPA Associates Room, an 851-square-foot board room, features an elegant red granite table.

The European-style theater offers flexible configurations ranging in size from 1,300 to 1,750 seats. The warmly elegant space features light and dark ash, cherry wood finishes, and plush red seating. Dressing rooms and a loading dock are adjacent to the theater.

Access and Parking

The CCPA is located in the City of Cerritos, which is directly served by the 5 (Santa Ana), 91 (Artesia), and 605 (San Gabriel) freeways.

The CCPA is located 24 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), 24 miles from John Wayne (Orange County) Airport, and 10 miles from Long Beach Airport.

Dining and Lodging

Hotel accommodations and restaurants are within walking distance of the CCPA. The CCPA is located within the Cerritos Towne Center, which offers a wide variety of eateries and retailers.    

Filming Permit

A City of Cerritos Filming Permit is required to film at the CCPA.
